Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

This banner measures approximatley 3' x 5' and hangs in Savannah's Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. It contains a potpourri of native plants and animals surrounding the seal of the Cathedral. The animals were stitched in petit point. The background was stitched in gros point.
Suggested Fibers
Except for the bishop's miter, Paternayan persian yarn was used in this piece because of its durability and moth-proofing. Metallic fibers were used in the jewels on the bishop's miter.
